4447 Telegraphist

The Telegraphist, ref. 4447, is a Mattel Big Jim set from the early 1980s Spy Series. This communications agent comes with a talking radio activated by pulling a cord to simulate secret messages. A hole in the back of the box allowed the voice mechanism to be tested without opening the packaging. References varied by country and language: ref. 4447 was used for the Scandinavian version, while ref. 4071 appeared in France, Italy, and other European markets with localized packaging and voice recordings.
