Mattel released the Big Jim Ski Patrol outfit, reference 9430 from assortment 9407, in 1976, although some surviving packaging is dated or marketed as 1975. Also known on certain cards as Arctic Patrol, this vintage action set equips Big Jim for a mountain rescue or winter biathlon mission. The confirmed contents include a white ski suit with blue shoulder panels and trim, a pair of blue skis, matching blue ski boots and a brown rifle. The Big Jim figure was sold separately.
