The German-market Big Jim Abenteuer Box is a vintage Mattel carrying and storage case produced for the Big Jim range in the mid-1970s. The example shown corresponds to the blue vinyl-style case decorated with Big Jim, Big Josh, Big Jack and Big Jeff in outdoor adventure scenes. The reference most consistently associated with this version is Mattel 9323, dated 1975; surviving German examples also carry the number 8228, apparently as an additional catalogue or distribution identifier. Contemporary references describe the case at approximately 32 × 26 × 7 cm. A later or variant listing exists under 90-9353, dated 1976, so this number should not automatically be assigned to the pictured version.
