7303 Lifeguard

Mattel’s Big Jim Lifeguard outfit, reference 7303, was introduced in 1974, although some surviving packaging and specialist records date examples between 1973 and 1975. Created for sea-rescue and beach-patrol adventures, this vintage Big Jim set includes a short-sleeved shirt, matching shorts, a pair of swim fins and a tubular rescue float. Original carded versions may also contain instructions and stickers. Documented production variations feature yellow or black fins, while the rescue buoy can appear in red or yellow, making packaging and accessory colours important identification details.
