Mattel Big Jim Secret Agent 004, reference 5101, belongs to the vintage Spy era and corresponds to the later six-mask version introduced around 1980–1981. This distinctive edition features Big Jim with his rotating face mechanism, allowing interchangeable disguise masks to be fitted for undercover missions. The set includes the figure in a blue turtleneck, brown trousers and black boots, together with a beige trench coat, burgundy scarf, white vest with blue shorts, holster, silenced pistol and brown convertible briefcase used to store the masks. The illustrated international box shown here also advertises a mission stamp inside. A notable Mattel reference from the Big Jim collection, it reflects the espionage-focused direction of the European vintage range at the beginning of the 1980s.
