2381 Nakoma

Mattel’s Nakoma, reference 2381, was released in 1978 as part of the licensed The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams range, produced in the same format as the Big Jim action figures. Nakoma represents the Native American friend from the television series and features a distinctive head with long braided hair and facial markings. The original vintage Mattel figure was supplied with a headband, fringed-style vest, trousers, moccasins, a knife and a spear; specialist documentation also identifies gripping hands and the standard Big Jim action mechanism. Unlike many mainstream Big Jim characters, this 1978 reference belongs to Mattel’s short-lived television-licensed assortment, alongside Grizzly Adams, giving the figure a particularly recognizable place within the wider Big Jim collection.
